Custom Wood Spiral Stair Kits
Spiral Stairs by Sierra is a division of Sierra Stair Works, Inc., a manufacturer of fine custom stairs for over 32 years. We build custom spiral stair kits in our 6,000 square foot shop using old world craftsmanship with careful attention to detail. Our spiral stairs can be made in any wood species you desire with a wide selection of balusters in wood or iron. Each spiral stair kit comes with easy to follow instructions for the homeowner do-it-yourselfer or, if you reside in the Northern California area, we can provide installation. Our spirals are built, disassembled, and packed for shipping across the United States.
Why our spiral stair is unique--
Our custom designed spiral stair kits provide easy installation with our unique locking tread system. Each tread is 1-3/4" thick which makes the spiral stair more stable with less sway. In many spirals the load is supported by the center pole. In our spiral stair the treads support the load in the same way a traditional stair system does. The layout for our spiral stair is flexible in that it can be rotated to accept traffic from any point you desire. The stair can be built with a clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation.
